Anambra state governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, is appealing to mothers to train their children on the right part and refrain from shielding their wards whenever they are found wanting.
The governor gave the charge at the presentation of foodstuffs and wrappers purchased for widows of Oraifite Local government by the Emeka Offor Foundation.

The varieties of role the women assume in the family are those of wife, leader, administrator, manager of family income amongst others.
That’s why Governor Chukwuma Soludo is using the opportunity of this year’s Christmas charity program for widows as a platform to engage women on the need to take full responsibility of the bringing up of their children.
The Governor who lamented the rising insecurity in the sub region, charged mothers not to neglect their God given task of training up the future leaders to be responsible citizens of Nigeria.
Ify Obinabo the Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs, who represented Governor Chukwuma Soludo said “On behalf of our Governor, Am sure you all know what is going on in our state.
We must not fold our hands, am sure those boys are not ghost, they have mothers and fathers, women need to step up their games, so that we can win the fight against insecurity in our state.
Convener of the meeting, Chief Emeka Offor, spoke on the need for women to continue praying for the leaders in authority”.
He seized the occasion to distribute bags of rice, wrappers and promise to deliver 50 new houses to widows in Oraifite local government area of the state .
The beneficiaries of the gesture appreciate him for what they described as their annual benefits from their benefactor.
This year’s Christmas gift from Emeka Offor Foundation for the widows featured stakeholders participation in keeping the values of womanhood even when their breadwinners are no more.
