Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state has appealed to community associations in the state to assist in complementing government’s effort in developing the state.
He made the appeal during the 57th annual national conference of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union held at the forecourt of the Emir’s palace.
The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) is the apex socio-cultural group for all sons and daughters of Ilorin emirate.
It holds its annual conference at the forecourt of the Emir’s palace to deliberate on the development of the Emirate.
Its major project this time around is the completion of the Ilorin Emirate skills acquisition centre which is meant to train and empower youths in the emirate.
This, the governor says, should be completed on time and appeals that more efforts should be put in place to make Ilorin emirate exemplary to others.
He donated a sum of #25 million to support the project.
