The issue of Security challenges faced currently in most parts of Nigeria and in certain parts of Lagos State is not peculiar while the State still remains the safest in the Country.
Wale Raji, a member of the House of Representatives made this clarification while speaking on the Topic 2023 Elections: The Battle For Lagos.
Wale Raji who was the guest on the Monday Morning Edition of the Programme This Morning on TVC News with Yori Folarin added that the State Government has been doing very well through the institution of Youth and Women Empowerment Programmes across the State, a decision he said members of the House of Representatives and Other Political Office Holders in the State have been following.
Going further he said his presence in the House has been positive for the people of Epe Federal Constituency through the institution of Youth Empowerment programmes in the Constituency, a Monthly stipend for Aged People, School Construction and a Light Up Epe Project facilitated by him.
The Lighting project is to ensure that dark spots within Epe Federal Constituency are made inhabitable for would be criminals and in the Long run reduce and probably eradicate Crime in the Area.
On whether the Youth need better than just the current approach to ensure that crime is eradicated in the State, He said the introduction of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund and Other such initiatives has helped in addressing the issue of unemployment and more will still be done as the situation unfolds.
On the battle for the Soul of Lagos in the 2023 Elections, the Member of the House of Representatives said the party will with the support of the People remain Primas Inter Spares in Lagos State.
He attributed this to the solid foundation laid by the Former Governor of the State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his successors who have not disappointed Lagos residents in delivering on development across a broad spectrum and Infrastructure Renewal.
He added that the presence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the ballot as the party’s Presidential Candidate is a major plus for the party in the State.
He also promised to continue to facilitate development in the Fishing, processing and Value addition in the Epe Federal Constituency of Lagos State and the State in general.
