Senator Abe told residents that their days of living in fear due to insecurity will be over if he wins the governorship election.
Magnus Abe blamed the current situation on weak laws and their poor implementation.
He noted that the anti-cultism law has not done anything to help the people of River State, it has not reduced crime rate rather it has increased insecurity in the land.
“We will review it, we will look at it, if it is not helping our people we will repeal it.
“If there are sections of it that we need, we will amend it.
To further reduce crime, Senator Abe said his administration will change the perception that Justice is reserved for the highest bidder.
“When somebody is charged with a crime, whether you are guilty or not, you go to the ministry of Justice, sometimes what comes out is not different from what you pay and say they are waiting for DPP’s advice. Months and weeks, you have to go and lobby for DPP’s advice, all those things will end.
“The rich and the poor will have equal access to truth and justice because we will pay for that.
The campaign train also made a stop at Onne in Eleme local government area where they received some new members into the Social Democratic Party.
