Senator Magnus Abe has called on Christians to live a life of peace, love and sacrifice during and after the Christmas celebrations.
The Social Democratic Party Candidate for the 2023 governorship election in Rivers State made the appeal at a Christmas carol organized by his family in Port Harcourt.
It’s the forth edition of this Christmas carol organized by Senator Magnus Abe and his wife, Bariyaah Abe.
Their Family, friends, political associates and members of the public gathered to offer thanks to God for the year and commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ through songs.
Christmas this year comes with a lot of expectation for the return of lasting peace to troubled homes and the country at large.
Senator Magnus Abe also advised youths to follow the example of Jesus Christ and say no to electoral violence in Rivers State.
Senator Magnus Abe, a former member of the National Assembly has also been a former Secretary to the Rivers State Governor under the administration of Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and has been a long term member of the Political elite in Rivers State.
He was a member of the All Progressives Congress in the State until the intrigues, disagreement and horse trading within the party led to his defection to the Social Democratic Party and emergence as the Rivers State Governorship candidate of the Party.
He is seen by many as a dark horse who has the ability to cause a major upset and emerge as the governor of the State in the 2023 Elections.
He will be facing off against the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Simi Fubara, who is heavily backed by the incumbent Governor Nyesom Wike, Leader of the G-5 Group of governors within the PDP, and the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Tonye Cole.
He is the only one seemingly without any encumbrances facing his candidature for now.
