The Programme which is under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management is giving Cash Grants to Three Thousand rural women and loans to beneficiaries of GEEP through it schemes of Trader moni, market moni and farmer moni.
Its seven years since the federal government’s national social investments Programme began in Nasarawa State.
The programme has so far empowered thousands of youths, women and children through its various schemes such as N-Power, conditional cash transfer, and others.
The federal government has also offered cash grant to 2700 vulnerable rural women in the state and empowered 52,000 youths in the first phase of Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP)
Now, the federal government is set to roll out another phase of GEEP, Cash Grant to rural women and launch the school feeding skin and heights for pupils of primary schools.
The Nasarawa State Governor is here to launch the Programme.
It is giving 20,000 each to 3000 women as cash grants while beneficiaries of GEEP 2. 0 are getting a loan between 50,000 to 300,000.
Beneficiaries are confident that the funds would boost their existing businesses and enable them to be self reliant.
These Programmes targeted at the vulnerable, are expected to help achieve the goal of President Muhammadu Buhari of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty.
