The National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency NDLEA has received a Grant of Five hundred Million Naira (N500M) from BUA Group to fund some selected projects of the agency for better performance.
The Chairman of Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa), Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu made the presentation of the grant letter at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital.
The award was made in honor of the Anti-narcotics Agency’s significant successes in combating drug trafficking in Nigeria, according to Mr. Ubon Udoh, Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative (ASR Africa).
Mr Rabiu explained that, the grant given to the NDLEA came under the ASR Africa Security Sector Support Scheme, an intervention initiative targeted at sustainably impactful interventions in security and social development in Africa.
He noted that it was also, intended to give back to the African continent and make lasting impact in peace and security, as a means of uplifting and restoring the dignity and lives of African people.
Receiving letter of the grant, the NDLEA Boss Retired Brig General Buba Marwa commended the Chairman of Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa), for his philanthropy and support for humanity.
