The police in Ondo state have arrested a forty-year-old fisherman for allegedly stabbing a thirty-two-year-old man to death during an argument.
The State Commissioner of Police, Oyeyemi Oyediran who paraded the suspect and three others before journalists in Akure, assured residents of the state of adequate security during the Christmas and new year festivities.

It’s few days to Christmas and these four suspects will be celebrating it in police custody.
They allegedly committed various offences, ranging from murder, vandalism to quackery.
While parading the suspects before journalists in Akure, Ondo State capital, the State Commissioner of Police, Oyeyemi Oyediran said they were arrested at various locations in the state.
One of them is a forty-year-old man, who stabbed his neighbour to death with a knife, during an argument.
The command also paraded a suspected vandal, who was arrested while trying to steal an electric cable at the Omotosho Power Plant, Ore.
Commissioner of Police, Ondo State, Oyeyemi Oyediran speaking to journalists said “There is no where in the world that is peaceful right now, but the police doing everything humanly possible to ensure that the state is calm.
We have been able to arrest some suspects, and i am sure that this yuletide period, we are going to have peace and peaceful celebration.
The police commissioner also paraded a fake doctor, who has been parading himself as the Chief Medical Director of a hospital in Odigbo local government area of the state.
The state commissioner of police also assured the people that his men will continue to synergise with other security agencies in order to provide adequate security for them.
