Armed Men suspected to be bandits have killed two mobile police personnel in Kwaren-Ganuwa village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara state.
They also abducted twelve locals in Musawa, a neighboring village
A reliable source told TVC NEWS that the police officers were killed during a gun battle with the bandits which lasted for saveral hours
The gunmen according to our source attempted to invade Kwaren Ganuwa village Sunday night in a revenge against the residents for rustling their cattle a few weeks ago
Tsafe is one of the five Local Councils authorities in the state says are suffering from incessant bandits attack
Communities in the Local Government had in the last few months suffered attacks which led to the death and abduction of Persons Including travellers.
This is the Second attack in Zamfara State in the last 48 Hours by Bandits with the first which happened on Sunday night claiming the lives of 68 Locals and 10 members of the Nigerian Army.
This is the most devastating attack in the State in the last few months and will be a bone chilling reminder of the deadly activities of bandits who have made most parts of Zamfara State and the Northwest in habitable and unsafe for the people.
The North Western States have been under siege from the activities of Bandits with Kidnappings, killings, maiming and destruction of property being the Order of the day.
Zamfara has however been particularly hard hit with killings, maiming and show of defiance in the face of Military onslaught and Air raids by the Nigerian Airforce.
The Bandits have also succeeded in shooting down a Nigerian Airforce Alpha Jet earlier in the year, a feat attributed to notorious bandits Kingpin, Bello Turji, who is from Zamfara State.
He has also been accused of several Crimes including the killing of hundreds of people and Kidnapping for Ransom.
He was recently put on a list of wanted Terror and Bandits Kingpin by the Defence Headquarters.
