The Kaduna State Government has confirmed that Security agencies have repelled an attack by Bandits/Terrorists in the Kaura Local Government area of the State over the Weekend.
State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed this while speaking to Nifemi Oguntoye, on This Morning on TVC News.
Mr Aruwan who described the attacks in the Kaura Local Government area of the State as unfortunate said Security Forces reported to the State Government of attacks in several Locations within the Local Government area that were foiled over the Weekend.
He said the Security Forces have increased deployment in the general Area of Kaura Local Government and within the State.
On what has made Kaura Local Government area susceptible to incessant attacks by Bandits/Terrorists, Mr Aruwan said the issue is not isolated to Kaura but a Statewide and a countrywide situation.
He disclosed that the attacks were a result of proliferation of small arms and inadequate numbers of Security personnel in the State.
He disclose that the current spate of attacks around Kaura started on the 13th of December and that the State has been working in partnership with the Security agencies especially the Military and the Special Military Operation, Operation Safe Haven, and Other Stakeholders.
