“Elections are not won on the pages of newspaper or on television. The majorities of voters are inside the houses. They don’t even have a city to listen to television. They cannot read newspapers.
He reiterated that what is important to people of voting age are the current challenges as it affects their daily living. If they will have food, shelter, access to health, education, employment and so on at the end of the day.
He noted that the LP candidate is a good candidate but in a hurry.
According to him, you don’t build that kind of structure to win an election in a year.
“The new voters belong to us because they will listen to us. They don’t know if it will be that is the tragedy that of our own politics. It is not a municipal politics, it’s a rural population politics. They don’t know him,” he added.
Speaking about if there was a meeting between the G5 governors and Asiwaju, he said Asiwaju is a senior politician.
He said “I pity the G5 governors, they will wreck PDP and they will wrap themselves, there will be no winner out of all of them, and it’s going to be the advantage of APC.
He added “Under the electoral Act and Nigerian Constitution, INEC does not recognise any governor in whatever form but they recognise the party.”
