Katsina state Governor Amina Bello Masari has laid the foundation for the construction of hostel accommodation for mechanic trainees at the national automotive design and development center in the state.
This is to assist the trainees from other parts of the state with decent accommodation during their training period.
This training center is one of a kind in the state courtesy of the national automotive design and development council.
The idea is to identify and develop young talents from this part of the country to benefit mankind with their God-given knowledge and experience.
In the last few years, youth restiveness has become a major challenge to society.
It is why the state government has redoubled effort to provide formal opportunities for youth to acquire skills.
This center alone is capable of training over 100 mechanics in different aspects of automotive design repairs and development.
There is increasing need for roadside mechanics to acquire modern techniques considering the fact that automobiles are becoming more digitized.
With this and other vocational programmes already in existence in the state, it is expected that a lot will be achieved in the area of youth entrepreneurship development being run by state.
NASENI DISTRIBUTES STOVES, POTS IN NASARAWA
Meanwhile, The National Agency For Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has distributed cooking stoves and wonder pots to Eight Hundred women in the Southern and Northern zones of Nasarawa State.
The invention will help reduce carbon emission and discourage deforestation in the country.

The invention is courtesy of the efforts of National Agency For Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) in collaboration with a German firm, the atmosfair.

The new cooking stoves and wonder pots will help to reduce cooking time, Cooking energy, carbon emission and discourage deforestation.
About 800 women in Lafia and Akwanga zones of the state are benefiting from this invention.
This invention is a step in the right direction for the Nasarawa State Governor and he wants the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items.
