The PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa says its party will repair Nigeria the way it did when it took over from military in 1999 if voted into power in February Presidential Election.
Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa said this during the state-wide campaign in Ukwuani and Ethiope East council areas of the state.

ORTOM CHARGES FG ON DREDGING OF RIVERS BENUE, KATSINA ALA
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has tasked the Federal Government to urgently dredge Rivers Benue and Katsina-Ala as a panacea to the perennial flooding in the country.
The Governor gave the recommendation when he received the Presidential Committee on Flood and Disaster Management, at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.
Flooding has become a yearly occurrence across the country particularly in Benue State where the Benue River ends up over flowing its banks.
This always ends up rendering people homeless, shutting down businesses, among other damages.
Flood control infrastructure is believed to be the necessary measures to manage to damage.
The Presidential Committee on Flood and Disaster Management, in Ben7e led by its Chairman,Emmanuel Adanu
The state Governor commends the Federal Government for setting up this crucial committee.
The mandate of the committee iss to interact with stakeholders with a view to developing a masterplan for the prevention of the flood disaster which was becoming a perennial occurrence.
Governor ortom particularly requests the Federal Government through the Committee to offer incentives to farmers who lost their farms as result of last year’s flood disaster which ravaged the state and other parts of the country.
Benue, Nasarawa and Kogi States are along flood tracks and Benue State will be particularly studied and captured in the report of the Committee,
The target is to put economic value to flood control, management and reorganization.
