The turnout for the 2023 General Election will be higher than usual with the Level of consciousness that has been raised among Nigerians especially the Youth.
Guests on Journalists Hangout while reacting to the comments made by the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging candidates of the party to not fail in delivering for their people.
Bolaji Tunji, while speaking on the issue said he expects an additional 15 Million Voters based on the registration statistics released by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He said the Youth have about 26 percent of the voting population will turn out en masse to vote considering the current situation of things in Nigeria.
He said the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was not just telling the candidates not to fail their people or delegates but to secure the votes in their communities.
Anchor Ayodele Ozugbakun while speaking further on the issue said the meeting by All Progressives’ Congress Presidential candidate was with Strategic people in the party from the Ward level to the State and then Federal.
He said the party has a structure that must stand firm and deliver to be sure of winning an election like the one to be contested in Nigeria in the next few weeks.
For his part, Gani Kayode-Balogun, said the importance of a structure for a Political party contesting a National Election like the Presidential Election must have a spread across the 295000 polling units across the Country.
He said this goes beyond noise on Social media and focusing on the alleged misdeeds or questionable side of a candidate while ignoring those of the Others.
He added that it goes beyond standing before cameras and making noise on the competence of a Candidate or not.
He added that Structure is very important especially in mobilising people to vote for a particular candidate not minding the work put in place to de-market a candidate on Social Media.
