Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni and his Gombe State counterpart, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya, have commissioned the newly constructed Nguru Ultra mordern market.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Mai Mala Buni described the construction of the ultra modern markets in Damaturu, Gashua, Nguru, and Potiskum as part of a delibrate policy to promote commerce and boost economic growth .
Upon assumption of office in 2019, Governor Mai Mala Buni promised the people of state that his administration would build befitting ultra modern markets across the three senatorial districts.
Recently, the Damaturu Market was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari, while that of Gashua was launched by the senate president Ahmad Lawan.
The Governor revealed that the new constructed Nguru Market was named after Shiekh Mohammed Ngibirma and consist of 505 shops of different sizes, inner structures of administrative block, mosque, refuse bank, perimeter fence, electricity, boreholes, drainage and road.
He noted that the government of the state named the market after the renowned Islamic scholar, late sheikh Mohammed Ngibirma, for dedicating his life to the teaching of Islamic prudence.
The senate president, Ahmed Lawan, supported traders in Nguru with sum of 100 million, commending the state Government for creating wealth for the people of his constituency.
Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, further expatiated on the market project.
The Nguru market is named after a popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Mohammad Ngiribima.
The governor further revealed that the market will provide an enabling environment to stimulate the economy of the community and the the state in general.
The market will also be register as a limited liability company with a board of directors.
An APC campaign rally was also organised in zone C , to garner votes for the ruling party both at the state and National levels.
A large number of supporters came out en-mass to welcome Governor Buni , Senator Ahmad Lawan and other APC dignitaries in Gashua community of the state.
