The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu, has been suspended by the PDP Igyorov ward executive for anti-party activities during the governorship and State Assembly elections.
The suspension was announced by the Igyorov council ward chairman Kashi Phillip, at a briefing
He also accused the PDP National Chairman of failing to pay his annual subscription fees as provided under section8 subsection 9 of the constitution of the People’s Democratic Party 2017 (as amended.)
The council ward also alleged that the PDP chieftain did not vote during the governorship and state assembly elections held on the 18th of March, 2023.
According to them, most of Ayu’s closest allies worked for the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) which resulted in the abysmal performance of the PDP in Igyorov Ward.

Dr Iyorchia Ayu’s suspension is coming on the heels of accusations that he worked for the All Progressives Congress during the March 18, 2023 election in Benue State.
