Health workers in Nigeria have declared an indefinite nationwide strike over what they described as unmet demands by the federal government.
The workers accused the government of nonchalance and bias in its dealings with members and other workers in the health sector.
The Health workers under the umbrella of the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU and Assembly of Health Care Professional Associations, AHPA, say the industrial action takes effect from midnight.
Poor conditions of Service , withheld salaries of JOHESU members and adjustment of retirement age from 60 to 65 years are some of their demands.
