The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has again remitted the sum of 2 billion Naira as its interim surplus for the 2023 operating year with a promise to remit more when it’s operations for the year are completed.
The Head of Public Affairs and protocol Dr. Febian Benjamin who made the disclosure in a statement explained that the 2 billion Naira remittance is in furtherance of the pledge by the Registrar that the board under his administration will leverage on technology and discipline to manage affairs of the board.
Since assuming office Prof.Is-haq Oloyede led management has remitted over 55 billion Naira to the Federal government coffers which is far above the 60 million naira remitted by the Board in the 38 years of its existence .
Meanwhile the board in its efforts to reposition the conduct of public examinations in Nigeria has resolved that A-level candidates seeking admission into Universities through direct entry would now sit for the same examination as candidates sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
