The Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA) has maintained its position that the National Industrial Court of Nigeria judgement of April 18, 2023 does not affect its legality and operations.
The body was reacting to calls by the Lagos Chapter of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) that the Lagos State Government should obey the court and approve its reinstatement.
But, LASPAGA told journalists on Tuesday at it’s secretariat in Akesan that, the formation and existence of its ad-hoc committee were never in dispute before the court.
last month, justice Maureen Esowe, whilst reinstating RTEAN which the state government purportedly dissolved in 2022, also nullified the state government’s appointment of a caretaker committee.
But LASPAGA says that judgment does not in any way concern or affect it as it wasn’t a party to the suit filed by RTEAN.
Lagos State warns public against fake Internship Programme
Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has denied social media messages about an ongoing internship programme under its Graduate Internship program in Lagos State.
The Social Media message which asked unemployed youth with NYSC certificate and LASRRA to register for the ongoing Lagos State Internship program on: gipplasg.lagosstate.gov.ng did not originate from the Ministry.
Although the Ministry has been in charge of Graduate Internship Programme over the years, it is however, necessary to clarify that the commencement date for 2023 edition of the programme is yet to be made public.
Members of the public are advised to disregard the social media message on Graduate Internship Programme in Lagos State and desist from re-sharing same message on different social media platforms.
It should be noted that the Ministry will make official public announcement as soon as the 2023 edition of the Programme is approved using the various social media platforms of the State Government and other communication platforms.
Again, the general public is advised to always verify the sources of their information before circulating same on the social media in order to avoid creating unnecessary panic among the residents.
