The Labour Party has distanced itself from calls for Interim National Government by some individuals who are hell-bent on causing crisis in the country.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Abayomi Arabambi made this known while calling on the Police and the Department of State Service to arrest the formal National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure and few others including Kenneth Okonkwo, Obiora Ifo and Tanko Yinusa for undermining Nigeria’s transitional process and for conduct likely to cause breach of peace in the society.
He said those people do not represent the interest and position of the party and that the leadership of the party believes in due process and the principle of separation of powers where judiciary will be allowed to carry out its duties.
