Some leaders and officers of the National Union of Road Transport Workers Union in the Southwest have asked the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, in Lagos to sack the Union’s National President, Tajudeen Baruwa.
Specifically, the claimants in their April 12 originating summons are seeking a declaration that the first Defendant has ceased to hold office as the President of the second Defendant with effect from the dissolution of the Ogun State Council in 2020.
Reacting on this, the National Union of road transport workers, Lagos State chapter has denied the report insisting on the legitimacy of the incumbent president, Tajudeen Baruwa.
At a press briefing held in Lagos, the state executive says the position became necessary going by the suit filed against the union at the national industrial court in Lagos.
