The House of Representatives has requested the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, to lift Ejikeme Mmesoma’s three-year suspension from sitting the Unified Tartary Matriculation Examination due to manipulation of her results this year.
The House Ad-hoc Committee, led by Sada Soli, is looking into the suspected manipulation of JAMB facilities in an effort to prevent a similar incident from occurring again.
Ejikeme Mmesoma once more acknowledged falsifying the UTME results and apologized throughout the hearing.
She begged for pardon while pleading with JAMB to reconsider the board’s three-year ban.
In order to assess Mmesoma’s score, the Green Chamber decided to accept a motion made by Hon. Awaji-Inombek Abiante on Wednesday during plenary. The motion asked independent examiners to cross-check Mmesoma’s script.
