As part of ongoing efforts to address the security challenges bedevilling some Communities in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State and environs, the troops of Operation Safe Haven have arrested over 1000 cattle and a large number of sheep grazing on farmlands belonging to locals at Dumunan village in Bwai district of Mangu local government area.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the cattle and sheep came from Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Council areas respectively, and are currently in the custody of the STF for necessary action.
The Commander of Operation Safe Haven, Major General Abdulsallam Abubakar, had promised to seriously tackle the root causes of the crisis and block anything that could lead to renewed attacks in the Mangu general area.
