Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has inaugurated the first phase of the 21Kilometer Ibooro/Imasayi Ayetoro road in Yewa North Local Government area of the State.
The road project which links Ayetoro to other parts of the state including Ilaro will provide ease of movement of farm produce from farms to markets and decrease rural – urban migration.
For years, economic activities at Ibooro, Imashayi and Igan Okoto area in Ogun have been partially paralyzed due to poor condition of the connecting road, as farmers find it difficult to move their goods to markets.
But through the intervention of the state Government on the 21 kilometer Ibooro/Imasayi Ayetoro road, residents of the area are now happy.
They say the completion of the first phase of the road project has given them hope for development and the are appreciative of the gesture.
On the part of the Governor, he said his administration is determined to boost the nation’s agricultural sector through the area and that the road will help in moving goods to the city.
He also promised to complete the remaining project and further open the state for business.
The event was attended by notable indigenes of Ogun West and friends from other part of the state.
