The Ideato Federal Constituency wing of the All Progressives Congress In Imo State has welcomed the disqualification of the Member Representing Ideato Federal Constituency Ikenga Ugochinyere by the Imo State National Assembly election petition tribunal judgement.
At a solidarity rally at Urualla, the headquarters of Ideato North council area in Imo State, the people said the judgment has further rekindled their hope in the Nigerian Judiciary.
These are the All Progressives Congress supporters in Ideato North and South Federal Constituency.
They are pleased that the Imo State National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Nasarawa State has sacked the member representing Ideato Federal Constituency Ikenga Ugochinyere of the People’s Democratic party.
They said the judgment will offer some of their constituents in 55 polling units the opportunity to exercise their franchise which were denied during the last National Assembly election.
Meanwhile the People’s Democratic party candidate and sacked lawmaker, Ikenga Ugochinyere has already approached the appeal court to challenge his disqualification by the Tribunal court.
