At least six people have been killed by armed terrorists in the Takanai community of Atyap Chiefdom, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack, which occurred on Tuesday night, marks the latest in a series of brutal assaults on communities within the state.
It was gathered that the assailants invaded the village at approximately 7 pm.
The acting Secretary to the District Head of the Community, Samson Markus, said the terrorists indiscriminately opened fire, resulting in the loss of four lives within one compound and two in another.
Tragically, among the victims were two children.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a previous attack just five days ago in Kaura, where a woman lost her life and her two children were taken.
