The Federal High Court sitting in Enugu has granted an order in a motion of notice filed by Nwabueze Ugwu seeking to declare the office of the National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party office vacant.The court issued an interim order in Enugu ,compelling the defendants in the suit, PDP National Chairman, PDP National Secretary, Deputy National Chairman South East to recognise Sunday UDEH-Okoye as person recommended by South East zonal Executive Committee to replace the former, pending the determination of the motion on notice is determined.
Justice C.O Ajah, disclosed that the motion on notice sought by the plantiff, was brought under order 38 rule 1, order 39 rule 1 of High Court rules of Enugu state 2020, supported by 23 paragraphs affidavits deposed by the applicant.
The court however adjourned the hearing to 30th October, 2023 for the continuation of the motion on notice.
Recently, South East Stakeholders of People’s Democratic Party in Enugu, resolved to replace Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP Imo State Governorship Candidate, be replaced by Sunday UDEH-Okoye, as the PDP National Secretary.
