President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, in order to allow career progression for civil servants in the FCT Administration.
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, made this known while briefing journalists in Abuja
A bill for the establishment of CSC for the FCT had been passed in 2018 and was assented to by the then acting President, Yemi Osibanjo, but it was not implemented.
It took Mr Wike writing a memo to President Tinubu to get approval for its implementation
President Tinubu has also approved the exclusion of The Federal Capital Territory Administration from the Treasury Single Account
On Security, the FCT Minister promised that issues were being addressed that would make insecurity a thing of the past in the Federal Capital.
