The Leadership of Social Democratic Party (SDP) has appealed to security agencies to give utmost attention to the security situation in Kogi State ahead of the November 11 Governorship Election.
They made the call during a press conference in Kogi State as a result of attacks on their party supporters, particularly the recent attacks on the candidates, Murtala Ajaka and his team in Koton Karfe.
The Party and his campaign council specifically called on the Inspector General of Police, the National Security Adviser and the Director State Security Service to beam it’s search light on securing lives and property of the people of Kogi State especially during the November 11 election.
Campaign Coordinator, Kogi East, Hassan Enape mentioned the recent attacks on Murtala Ajaka in Koton Karfe where several members of the campaign team were injured as one of the numerous attack on the supporters.
The Campaign Council alleged that the attacks, killing, arrest and harassment of their members has become too many hence appeal to the Security agencies to make proper investigation before making any arrest.
