Military Troops of One Mechanised Division have made significant strides in counter-terrorism efforts, apprehending two suspects and seizing a cache of weapons in Awon, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
The acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations of One Mechanised Division, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, disclosed this in a statement.
He said the arrested individuals were identified based on intelligence from a previous capture.
A cache of weapons, including guns and ammunition, were found buried in their compound.
In a separate operation, troops engaged criminals in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, resulting in the recovery of more weapons and motorcycles.
Major General Valentine Okoro commended the troops and urged them to continue their efforts in clearing criminal elements from the Division’s Area of Responsibility.
