An All Progressives Congress chieftain in Edo state wants the traditional institution strengthened to make it effective in contributing to good governance.
General Charles Airiavbere Retired stated this at a ward meeting where he declared his intention to join the race for the 2024 Governorship election in the State.
As the 2024 Governorship election in Edo State draws Closer, it is expected that several contenders will be unveiling their ambition to seek the top job in the state. The Retired General is here at his party Ward level to declare his intention as he recounts several gains the State stand to achieve with an effective traditional institution amidst other developmental achievement he intends to attract to the State.
He is passionately on the need to have a better and more developed Edo state working together with the federal government.
He used the opportunity to share fresh perspective and refreshing ideas about governance.
As the governorship race intensifies, citizens can expect a more vibrant and dynamic that will enrich the democratic process.
