Women in their dozens have staged a protest against the Appeal Court verdict that sacked Governor Abba Yusuf.
The women who are members of the New Nigeria Peoples’ Party, NNPP marched to the Kano Police Command Headquarters singing songs and carrying placards.
Members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP are still clearly unhappy with the decision of the Appeal Court nullifying the election of Governor Abba Yusuf and declaring Nasir Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress winner of the election.
This time around, women in their dozens are out to protest the Appeal Court verdict.
They marched from the residence of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso to the Kano Police Headquarters singing songs and carrying placards that captures their agitation.
The women are calling for justice as the Kano Governor, Abba Yusuf files an appeal at the Supreme Court.
Also Recently, a group of Yoruba Politicians from the NNPP briefed the media, where they called for President Bola Tinubu’s intervention.
Another group from the All Progressives Congress, APC have countered the statements by the NNPP group.
Kano has remained relatively peaceful since the Appeal Court judgment, partly due to a peace pact signed between the police and leaders of political parties to ensure peace and harmony in the state.
