Operation Hadarin Daji keeping peace in the troubled North West region has rescued thirty one hostages in Sokoto.
The troops also destroyed several bandit camps and hideouts in the area.
The victims were rescued at Alya Fulani village, Buani forest in Sokoto.
The successes were recorded during latest clearance operation by the troops on Tuesday at Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto state.
A statement from the authorities of operation Hadarin Daji says, the terrorists fled and abandoned their captives before the arrival of the aggressive troops.
In a related development, the troops also stormed Goboro village and rescued one Female kidnapped victim.
The bandits according to authorities fled in disarray due to troops’ fire power superiority.
The General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army, Sokoto , Major General Godwin Mutkut says troops under his command will remain focus in addressing the menace of insecurity in the North West zone.
