Women activists have protested in Abuja, demanding justice for Khadijat Yahaya who was allegedly killed by thugs in Kogi State.
Civil Society activists have called on Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and other security agencies to investigate the murder of Khadijat Yahaya, a member of APC who was allegedly killed by SDP thugs in Kogi State.
Since Khadijat Yahaya’s death , there has been a back and forth about who should be held responsible for her death .
Her family is seeking justice and wants the Federal Government to help out .
It is why the All Progressive Congress has kept its campaigns on hold in Kogi State.
The state campaign council spokesman Kingsley Fanwo had disclosed Khadijat died on 29th September 2023 in Kotonkarfe.
These women activists who represent different groups are protesting under one entity because they believe that the murder of Khadijat Yahaya , about two months ago, has been swept under the carpet because she was not from an influential family .
They disclosed that nothing has been said about the investigation since her death, and appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for urgent intervention.
They urge women to stand up for themselves and support each other in order to achieve progress in the society.
