The Lagos State government is adopting new approaches that will guarantee residents have access to quality and affordable healthcare. One of such approaches is training health workers on the use of artificial intelligence.
The government insists every professional group in the health sector must undergo training and adapt to the latest technologies around the world.
While most professionals feel threatened by the introduction of Artificial Intelligence, accountants and finance officers in the Lagos state health service seem to have found a way to outsmart Artificial Intelligence and retain jobs.
One of which is to equip themselves with the needed skills and information needed to support health workers and patients in state owned facilities.
This is the fifth edition of the Accountants in the health sector retreat, this year, the Lagos state government examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence on financing in hospitals.
Rising from the two day retreat, the Lagos state health service commission expects all professionals in the health sector to support the Babajide Sanwoolu administration and improve its service to residents in Lagos.
