Men of Lagos State Fire Service have put out the fire that broke out at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos on Saturday evening.
According to the state emergency management agency, the fire, which was caused by a gas explosion, consumed a section of the National Theatre.
It is the third of such incidents reported in the past seven days in Lagos State.
While embarking on a facility assessment tour of the structure, the Ojora of Ijora said miscreants have taken over some sections of the National Theatre.
He added that the land on which the National Theatre was built on was given to the Federal Government for public use not commercial purposes.
He urged the Federal Government to increase security presence around the complex positing that the lack of a proper Security presence was the major reason behind the Fire.
