The National Agency For Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has shut down a major pharmaceutical store and warehouse in the Wuse area of the nation’s capital, Abuja.
NAFDAC says the store in Abuja has not complied with proper registration of drug products in its dealings with the public.
Some of the staff of the pharmacy were taken in for more questioning and further investigation by agents of the agency.
The agency has undertaken routine enforcement exercises throughout the year to ensure the safety of medicines for public health.
The Abuja based pharmacy Store is very popular with residents of the FCT having served them well over the years in the provision of Pharmaceutical services.
