National Assembly will pass 2024 budget this week – Senate leader

Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele said the National Assembly will pass the 2024 appropriation bill budget into law this week.

Addressing the journalists in iyin Ekiti, Senator Opeyemi said both senate and house of representatives have harmonised the time by making sure all the ministries, department and agencies of government appeared jointly before the joint sitting of the relevant committees of both senate and house of representatives.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Senate, Senator Yemi Adaramodu said that the budget will be the beginning of the economic transformation of the nation’s economy.

He said the completion of repair works at the Port Harcourt refinery is a statement from the federal government that President Bola Tinubu is determined to turn around the fortunes of Nigeria

However, they pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu, saying he assumed office with an ambitious plan to rebuild, reconstruct and revamp the country’s troubled economy.
