The Governors of the Nineteen Northern States are scheduled to convene at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna for their Northern Governors Forum Meeting .
The two-day Meeting will take place today, Friday and Saturday.
During this assembly, it is anticipated that they would address various pressing issues, including the recent Tudun Biri error bombing, the prevalent insecurity in the Northern states, and the challenges arising from the removal of Fuel Subsidy, among others.
This gathering will marks their first meeting in the state since the commencement of this administration and will be presided over by the newly appointed Chairman, Yahaya Inuwa, the Governor of Gombe State.
Following the Tudun Biri error bombing, the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, who will be hosting the event, emphasized the critical need for a comprehensive investigation and ensuring that the perpetrators face appropriate consequences.
He has also highlighted concerns about the lack of coordination among security agencies and the armed forces, attributing this to the unfortunate incident.
In recent days, Governor Sani has appealed to Senators and House of Representatives members for support in advocating for state Police.
It is also anticipated that during the forthcoming meeting with fellow northern state counterparts, Governor Sani may raise these critical issues for deliberation.
