A baby boy, Boluwatife Johnson is the first baby of the new year in FCT, he was delivered at exactly 12.03am at the National Hospital Abuja.
The first Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu was at the hospital to visit the baby.
In a heartwarming start to the year, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory welcomed its first baby of 2024 few minutes after midnight.
The Doctor who took the delivery says this is the first time in 3 years the hospital is having the unique opportunity to birth the first baby of the year.
In a symbolic way to welcome the bundle of Joy, the First Lady, in company of the wife of the Vice President and the Minister for Women Affairs visits the National Hospital where the first baby was delivered, they all came bearing gifts.
The newborn, a precious symbol of hope and new beginnings, entered the world to the delight of parents and hospital staff.
The first lady cradled the newborn in her arms as the parents looked on.
The parents, obviously overjoyed, received the gift the first Lady brought.
She also visited other mothers who delivered within the season.
One of the new mothers, Blessing Madu expressed appreciation for the visit.
Mrs Remi Tinubu, says it is an incredible feeling to bring a life into the world on such a special occasion.
The hospital management used the opportunity to make some requests to uplift the hospital.
She encouraged Nigerians to set priorities in contributing to the Nation’s National Development
