Residents of Enugu South East Nigeria have appealed to Government to increase awareness on the harsh weather conditions.
Their reaction is premised on the Federal Environment Protection Agency recent warning, which advised residents not to mistake the conditions to harmattan.

FEPA has cautioned that it can lead to hazardous health conditions that causes: Reduced Lung function, Respiratory infection, Inflammation.
Oxidative Stress with low level of antioxidants which creates an imbalance in human body.
The agency of government advised that Nigerians should henceforth wear nose mask, Stay hydrated by ensuring they Drink more water.
Cover food and water very well to prevent dust from settling on them.
Wash fruits very well before eating them.
And stay indoors as much as possible.
In Enugu South East Nigeria, the experience is different as the people are unclear about this advisory, compared to other parts of the country.
At about few minutes past 7am, the weather in the state capital is slightly dusty, that depicts Harmattan season.
Similar incident was recorded in l Senatorial zone as people are seen going about their business with little or no knowledge about the advisory by FEPA.
They admonished government to increase sensitization.
