Accreditation and voting have commenced at two polling units in Benue state.
Accreditation and voting started at 8:35 a.m. at Polling Unit 002, Atongu Compound, Upkiam, Guma, and at LGA Primary School, Mbabai, Uikpam, Polling Unit 011.

Security officials from the Nigerian police, Department of State Service and the NSCDC are on ground to ensure that the process is smooth.
Earlier, INEC ad-hoc staff were seen awaiting for materials to commence the election as residents came out in their numbers ready to exercise their franchise .
