Motorists who ply the ever busy third Mainland bridge will have to plan their movement and factor in alternative routes as the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, has announced that the bridge will be shut from 12.00 noon Wednesday which is today until Thursday 12.00 noon that is today until Thursday 12 noon tomorrow.
This closure which would last for 24 hours is part of the ongoing Rehabilitation of the bridge and will allow contractor execute a major aspect of the ongoing repair works on both sides of the carriageway.
During this period, the bridge will not be open to traffic, so all Road users are advised to use alternative routes.
Motorist are encouraged to cooperate with the traffic management officials deployed to manage traffic and ensure smooth movement.
The officials will work to minimize discomfort during this critical 24hour period because of the number the huge traffic that goes on the third Mainland bridge.
