In response to escalating insecurity in the state, the Kaduna State Government has called an emergency security meeting.
The Governor, Uba Sani says the primary goal of the gathering is to identify and address pressing security challenges.
Heads of security agencies, traditional leaders as well as Local government chairmen from the Seven most troubled local councils in the state are present.
Governor Uba Sani expressed deep concern over recent setbacks, highlighting the abduction of numerous residents.
He stressed the importance of citizen engagement with security agencies during emergencies.
He also disclosed that progress is being made, including ongoing efforts to secure the release of 287 kidnapped children from Kuriga.
Recall that within the past month, at least 450 individuals have been kidnapped, including students who have now endured 14 days in captivity.
