Hundreds of displaced Victims of Ifon-Orolu and Ilobu communal crisis in Osun State have received food items worth millions of naira from the Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Olubiyi Fadeyi.
The lawmaker also assures that humanitarian support is being worked out for the victims of the crisis by the Federal Government.
The crisis that erupted between Ifon-Orolu and Ilobu in 2023 led to loss of lives and property while thousands of dwellers were also displaced.
The victims are now suffering from hunger since their means of livelihood have been destroyed.
Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi is here at the palace of Olobu of Ilobu, Oba to present hundreds of bags of rice to the victims.
The lawmaker said a motion for the creation of IDP camp in Osun is about to be passed in the Senate which he said would cater for the victims.
From there, he proceeds to the palace of Olufon of Ifon-Orolu, Oba Peter Oluwole for the same purpose.
Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi also promised job opportunities for youth in the areas.
The State Government had few weeks ago lifted a dusk to dawn curfew imposed on both communities.
