Former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha has resigned his membership from the People’s Democratic People in Imo State.
The former governor announced his resignation from the party in a letter written to the party state chairman and copied the national secretariat.
Giving reason for his resignation, the former lawmaker said the party he joined in 1998 has in recent times taken the path that is at variance with his personal beliefs.
Mr Ihedioha however said, despite his resignation, he will continue to offer his services to deepen democracy in Nigeria.
