The Federal Government has approved Thursday 11th April, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid -El-Fitr.
The Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, while congratulating the Muslim Ummah urged them to celebrate in moderation and not forget the lessons learnt in the month of Ramadan.
The Minister also reiterated the commitment of President Bola Tinubu to provide a safe and prosperous Nigeria for all to live in.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government had declared Tuesday and Wednesday 9th and 10th of April as public holidays to celebrate the Eid-Ele Fitri festival after the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan.
The failure to sight the Crescent Moon of Shawwal led to the declaration of the additional day with Eid-El Fitri now Wednesday.
