The Federal High Court in Kano has issued an order barring the Ward Executive of Ganduje Ward from implementing the purported suspension of APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.
Justice Mohammed Liman ordered all the parties to maintain the status quo before the emergency meeting that suspended Mr Ganduje and to stay all actions connected to the matter pending the determination of the substantive suit.
The APC National Chairman approached the Federal High Court in Kano for the enforcement of his fundamental right to a fair hearing.
The matter was adjourned till 30th April for a hearing.
On Wednesday, Kano State High Court had granted an exparte order affirming the suspension of the APC National Chairman.
The court ordered, that henceforth, Ganduje should desist from presiding over all affairs of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC.
The application granted by Justice Usman Malam Na’abba on Tuesday followed an exparte motion filed by Ibrahim Sa’ad on behalf of two executive members of APC Ganduje ward of Dawakin-Tofa local government area, the assistant secretary, Laminu Sani and legal adviser, Haladu Gwanjo who were part of the nine ward executive who suspended Abdullahi Ganduje two days ago.
But a federal high in Kano has now restrained the ward executive from implementing the purported suspension.
