A group of youths, under the auspices of Community Engagement For Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has engaged farmers and the elderly in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, towards boosting food production in the state.
The Coordinator of the group, Adeolu Iwakun said the organisers aimed to use the programme to meet directly with individuals at the grassroots and attend to their needs and concerns effectively.
Members of the Community Engagement For Lucky Aiyedatiwa are on the move again.
This time, they took their engagement to some communities in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Some of the communities visited by the group are Kajola, Ala, Daada, Oba-Ile, Eleyewo and Isinigbo.
The Coordinator of the group and former students’ union leader, Adeolu Iwakun who addressed leaders of the communities, said the programme is designed to establish a robust platform for dialogue, collaboration and mutual support between the government and the communities that it serves.
Iwakun added that farmers are being supported with farm inputs to aid their activities, as well as seek support for Governor Aiyedatiwa.
