The Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has filed a fundamental rights enforcement case against Kaduna State Government and House of Assembly at the Federal High Court in Kaduna.
His lawyer, A.U. Mustapha SAN, argues that El-Rufai’s right to a fair hearing has been violated, citing the Nigerian Constitution and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
El-Rufai is challenging the ad-hoc committee’s report, which accused his administration of mismanaging N423 billion and improperly securing loans, calling the report unconstitutional and null and void.
Speaker Yusuf Liman had called for investigations and prosecutions related to these allegations.
